Koi

I created this piece for the Mini Masterpiece Contest held by Blick Art. The prompt of the contest was to create a small work of art (that is 25" or less for the surface area or a sculpture that can fit within an 8" x 8" x 8" cube) with any medium. I participated in the contest because I wanted to challenge myself to create a small drawing since I usually create large drawings. I also wanted to experiment with composition and movement, so I cut out the Koi fish to make it appear that they are moving in and out of the image.
